SEWING BOX
sem4
This 3D project combines character design and environment design into one cohesive narrative scene. The concept was inspired by Studio Ghibli’s “Arietty” and the novel “The Borrowers”, both of which explore worlds inhabited by tiny characters who repurpose everyday human objects for their own needs.
Based on this idea, “The Sewing Box” and its resident character Telita were created. Both the character and the environment were designed to clearly communicate the miniature scale and whimsical setting. Telita lives inside a sewing box in a small tailor’s shop. Her tiny home has been cleverly adapted to her size: one compartment serves as her bed, while the largest space acts as her workspace, where she contributes to delicate, miniature sewing tasks.
